Finance – Primary Care / Family Health Services (FHS) Directorate
FHS Directorate has a combined annual revenue budget of over £730million and responsible for payments to 1,000 independent FHS contractors.
FHS contractors provide Medical, Dental, Ophthalmic and Pharmaceutical services throughout NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and support the NHS Scotland health care working.
Post holder will ensure that all FHS financial information is accurately recorded within financial ledger and deal with payment queries as they arise. In addition they will manage budget monitoring and reporting for a specified range of FHS contractor budgets.

Do you fit the requirements?
We are looking for someone who is committed to working in a demanding but enjoyable role in the NHS with a varied portfolio of services that are managed within the FHS Finance team.
Capable of working with finance, clinical & non clinical staff at all levels the ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to use their own initiative with excellent communication, organisational, IT and finance/ business skills to understand the story behind the data. You’ll educate and train non finance colleagues but also take the opportunity to learn from them as well.
Working closely with the Head of Finance for FHS you will be assisting with the provision of a professional financial management service to directorate stakeholders.
Ideally degree / HND qualified in accountancy (or with equivalent work experience), with a background and experience of management and financial accounting you will be computer literate with excellent communication skills, be able to use initiative and deliver to strict timelines.
