6 Session Vacancy

Salary to be discussed

Nethertown Surgery is looking to recruit a 6 Session GP partner or salaried doctor with a view to partnership to join our team from January 2024.

We are a GP training practice with 7 Partners, an Associate Nurse Partner, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners with a list size of roughly 11,000 patients. We also have in-house support from the pharmacotherapy team, mental health nurse and musculoskeletal practitioner. District Nurses are based within the practice and we have regular meetings with the Health Visiting Team.

Nethertown Surgery is situated in Dunfermline, close to the train station. It is an easy 20 minute commute from Edinburgh and we also have colleagues commuting throughout Fife and Tayside. The premises are purpose built with an onsite Pharmacy.

We use EMIS and are currently implementing work flow optimisation. The Practice operates with an Econsult form system with a dedicated On-Call Team made up from the Duty Doctor, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and the visiting Doctor. The visiting Doctor has the full day dedicated to visits, although these tend not to be high in number. There is a protected lunchtime between morning and afternoon sessions.

Our Partners have a variety of outside interests including registrar training, ScotGEM university teaching and LMC involvement. We would be keen to support a future Partner developing their own interests and we have an option for sabbatical included within the partnership agreement.

At Nethertown we pride ourselves in delivering the highest quality of care and taking a forward thinking approach to general practice. We look forward to hearing from you.
