We have a vacancy for a medical secretary to join the Medical A&C Department at University Hospital Monklands.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently. Duties will include answering patient enquiries, typing dictated clinical letters, maintaining clinicians diary arrangements and maintaining accurately coded and timely records on electronic systems amongst other tasks.
The successful applicant will be qualified to SVQ level 2 (or equivalent experience) and have experience in healthcare administration or in a secretarial role. They will have an understanding of medical terminology, be a team player and have strong communication skills and excellent organisational skills. In addition, they must have audio typing skills and be proficient in using Microsfot Excel.
