Edinburgh/Glasgow (hybrid working will apply for the foreseeable future, travel throughout Scotland will be required)
An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and positive healthcare professionals to lead, manage and deliver a portfolio of inspections which meet legislative, statutory and national requirements for delivery of care and services to the people of Scotland. Primarily, working on a programme of joint inspection, quality assurance and improvement support activity focusing on adult support and protection (ASP) arrangements in Scotland. The programme is being delivered in partnership with the Care Inspectorate (lead agency) and His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland.
Successful candidates will be key members of the multiagency inspection team. They will influence and shape the inspection and assurance approaches and tools to ensure health considerations are appropriately considered and included. During inspection and assurance activity they will bring health expertise to key inspection activities including the resultant reports and improvement plans to ensure that health elements are appropriately reflected. In view of this, in addition to the knowledge, training and experience for the inspector role* candidates must be a registered health professional with:
- experience of working at a senior level in the NHS or within a health and social
care partnership
- experience of public protection/ASP and up-to-date practice in their area of work
- sound knowledge regarding relevant legislation, guidance and best practice for
working with vulnerable adults and related national policy.
