Do you like a challenge? Interested in helping us change and improve the way we do things? Are you experienced in supporting the delivery of physical and/or improvement projects and delivering better outcomes for patients and staff? This might be the opportunity you have been looking for.
Our Programme Management Office (PMO) delivers a variety of projects including capital, efficiency and transformation projects and it aims to deliver improvements in a challenging financial environment by ensuring we work as effectively and productively as possible.
We are progressing a programme of change which will see us do things very differently and we looking for a project support officer to contribute to this work. This role will provide particular support to the implementation of the local eRostering Programme.
We are looking for an individual who has project, technical and administrative skills, is great at multi-tasking and can work in a team environment. To be successful in this role you need to be very confident using excel, have experience collecting and analysing data and have experience managing electronic files. You should also be familiar with project documentation and the creation of reports.
In this role you will support project managers and senior project managers who are working with clinical services to progress projects and implement new service plans which will have an area wide impact and result in Better Health, Better Care and Better Value for our patients. In doing so, you will be required to liaise, communicate and work with services across NHS Borders, with local partner agencies and potentially other NHS Boards.
We can offer hybrid working with a flexible location including home working options, however to maximise your relationships with key staff we will require your presence at the Borders General Hospital campus in Melrose for some of the working week.
