ADULT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICE
BAND 5 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (rotational post)
ACUTE, ABERDEEN CITY, ABERDEENSHIRE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PARTNERSHIP
We are looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our exciting and varied rotation. This post provides the opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic therapist to gain experience within a rotation in the Acute Sector, Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Services. New OT graduates are welcome to apply.
Rotations include:- Hospital at Home, Elderly Assessment and Rehabilitation, Medical, Elective and Trauma Orthopaedics, Acute Stroke and Stroke Rehabilitation, Community Hospitals, Community Rehabilitation, Oncology, Vascular and the Frailty Pathway. The rotational period is 6 months in each service area.
The post will involve working closely with Senior Occupational Therapists and multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions in a number of settings, both inpatient and community, throughout Grampian.
Preceptorship and flying start programmes provide additional support in your first year as an Occupational Therapists and there are opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD). We also provide professional supervision, access to our in-service training programme and Band 5 Support Group.
