This is a Fixed term post to End of August 2024.
An opportunity has arisen for an out-of-hours nurse practitioner within Borders Emergency Care Service, based at the BGH. You will be involved with delivering unscheduled care to patients in their homes or attending the BECS hub, BGH. Being an out-of-hours services shift patterns include nightshifts and weekends. BECs is part of the Borders Urgent Care Centre. The successful candidate would be required to undertake Exposure Prone procedures.
Significant post registration experience required which should include experience in an acute environment and/or experience in the community. This would be suitable for a Secondment Opportunity if you have the support of your current line Manager.

Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37.5 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
Band 6 Development Post (Annex 21) – B7 following completion of training, minimum of 3 years post qualification*
*Please note this is a Trainee post, therefore Annex 21 applies* For trainees covered by Annex 21 where the period of training lasts for between one and four years, pay will be as follows:
• up to 12 months prior to completion of training: 75 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate; • more than one but less than two years prior to completion of training: 70 per cent of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate of the qualified;
• more than two but less than three years prior to completion of training: 65 per cent of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate.
• more than three years from completion of training: 60 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
