An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Improvement Hub (ihub) within Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
The Transformational Redesign Unit supports health and social care organisations with complex, system-wide change to improve outcomes for the people of Scotland. This post is within the new Person-Centred Design and Improvement programme which blends together design and quality improvement approaches to deliver its aims.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive individual with the desire to improve people’s experience of care. Our work puts people at the heart of change through exploring, researching, developing, testing and implementing person-centred approaches to improve outcomes and experiences for people receiving care or support.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong skills in quality improvement and have experience of involving people meaningfully in health or social care decision-making and throughout their work. They will also have an interest in taking a user led approach to improvement and design. This would include some insight into qualitative evaluation methods and design approaches (such as Experience Based Co-design and the Scottish Approach to Service Design).
In their role the person will work with the team to design, coach and support on projects and will co-ordinate a learning network across health and social care. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, which reflect the person-centred ethos of the programme and the ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders. You should be educated to Masters level or have equivalent knowledge and experience working in a similar role within NHS or social care settings.
Further information about the role is available from Diane Graham (dianegraham5@nhs.net, 07972 773 994).
Closing date: 16 February 2020.
It is anticipated that interviews will be held on 10 March 2020 in Edinburgh, Gyle Square.
