An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time qualified Band 4 to join our team to work within the Medical Outpatient Department. The MOPD comprises of 4 distinct areas which are spread across the Ninewells site. You will be responsible for managing the day to day flow of patients attending for appointments as well as undertaking specific nurse led clinics. You will work closely with the medical staff using the MOPD fostering productive and professional relationships. You will be expected to be responsive and flexible as well as able to use your initiative on a daily basis. You must possess excellent communication skills to allow you to work closely with the HCSW and Registered Nurse within the department. You will be expected to be competent in clinical skills such as ECG, venepuncture and NEWS as well as possessing the ability to initiate and drive change.

This is a chance to develop and enhance your existing skills and knowledge in a busy and fast paced environment. You will be expected to undertake defined nurse led clinics with your own patient caseload and provide efficient and effective care. You should be energetic, capable, flexible, motivated and interested in people. Evidence of delivering high quality compassionate care is essential. Previous hospital experience is expected and you will contribute towards ensuring high levels of patient comfort as well as maintaining the upkeep of the health and safety of the unit including audits.
