PHARMACY DEPARTMENT
BAND 3 x 1
PHARMACY ADMIN SUPPORT
(37.5hours)
NHS GGC Pharmacy Services, Pharmacy Department, are looking to recruit a band 3 administrative officer to join our team within the Pharmacy North Sector.
The role will predominantly support the senior administrator in Glasgow Royal Infirmary but will also provide support to the other sites within this sector.
This is a 1wte post which will also require the post holder to commute to Gartnavel and Vale of Leven sites on occasion. The majority of work however, will be undertaken remotely.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is a team player with a flexible approach to their work. The role will appeal to an enthusiastic self-starter who can demonstrate a track record of delivering first class admin support ideally in a large and complex organisation.
You must show competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL. You should have knowledge of working in an office environment and operation of office equipment and systems. This may be through formal training or work experience. The ability to appropriately prioritise and manage a busy and varied workload is a pre requisite for the job.
Your responsibilities will vary, however you should expect your day to day duties to include recording pay roll activities on SSTS, recording and processing annual leave, recording sickness absence, diary management, meeting coordination and to act as the first point of contact for all enquiries received by telephone, mail or in person, including patient queries.
Diplomacy, discretion and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and professions both internally and externally to the organisation are essential qualities for this post.
