An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Midwifery Care Assistant or Band 3 senior health care support worker development post, where it is expected you will successfully undertake and complete the MCA course at the University of the West of Scotland.
The Inverness Community Midwifery team is based in the Midwives at Clava Unit and provides care to women and families in the Inverness and surrounding areas, on occasions the post may also include working within the other areas within Inner Moray Firth. This post is to support the community midwives within their role. The successful candidate will be required to undertake clinical support to the midwifery team including; assisting at midwifery clinics and at the newly proposed community maternity day assessment unit, undertake phlebotomy, antenatal education sessions, assisting with care of women and families in the community setting, administrative duties, such as telephone contacts, arranging appointments, updating databases, data collection, managing stock levels & ordering, and inputting into SSTS-staff pay system.
The full time post is 37.5 hours per week and requires you to be motivated, flexible, a good team player, and have excellent time management skills. Good IT skills are essential for this post.
A driving licence is essential for the post.
