An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dental technician to join our fixed restorative department at the Edinburgh Dental Institute. You will be expected to provide a broad range of fixed prosthesis for clinical staff and postgraduate students.
You will demonstrate a high level of manual dexterity and be proficient in the production and construction of restorative prosthesis.
Experience in CAD/CAM and implant work would desirable and skills.
You should possess good communication and organisational skills and a commitment to quality.
You must be qualified with BSc or equivalent and be registered with the General Dental Council, working in a hospital-based laboratory would be beneficial.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
