Working with a Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) remit you will be an individual who will deliver and co-ordinate a range of Quit Your Way (QYW) (smoking cessation) Services within the Health Improvement Team of the Public Health Directorate. You will work closely with the Health Improvement Lead (Prisons) and Quit Your Way colleagues to deliver an integrated service across a range of settings in GGC. Your portfolio will primarily focus on the development of smoking cessation as part of the QYW Prisons Service, within a broader programme of health improvement in prisons.
You will be responsible for establishing and sustaining links internally within GGC NHS Board and key external partners/clients/communities to promote health improvement and address inequalities in health. You will be required to work closely with senior colleagues in Prison Healthcare, the Scottish Prisons Service, Health and Social Care Partnerships and third sector agencies to provide strategic leadership and project management to deliver health improvement outcomes in relation to your portfolio areas
Ideally you will have management experience as well as proven experience in smoking cessation and the tobacco field. Experience of working with those going through the Criminal Justice System would be advantageous. You should have a relevant degree or equivalent, and it is desirable that you have a postgraduate diploma in a health related discipline.
The shift pattern is 8.00am to 4.00pm with occasional out of hours working.
