The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital are excited to provide this fantastic opportunity for motivated Registered Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners train as a Surgical Care Practitioner.
This role involves successful completion of the MSc Surgical Care Practice provided by Edgehill University. This is a three year programme incorporating a blend of academic and work based learning, including compulsory and specialist modules.
As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will work under the supervision of consultant surgeons to provide support in the pre, peri, intra and post-operative care of general and colorectal patients.
The theatre suite in NHS Golden Jubilee is expanding, with phase 2 due to open in 2023/4. Our General Surgery and Colorectal service continues to expand, incorporating robotic hernia repair and robotic colorectal resections using the Da Vinci robot.
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners with significant experience in surgical practice, and preferably with clinical experience in general surgery and colorectal theatres.
