An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, innovative individual to join SMART (Southeast Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology) Services which is located within the Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh. The position is part of a wider team which includes clinical/scientific and technical staff. There would be opportunities to learn about different aspects of the services.

The SMART Services (www.smart.scot.nhs.uk) provide highly specialised rehabilitation and assistive technology services across the southeast of Scotland. The Business Manager will have responsibility for the management, allocation and development of the administration and business function that supports SMART Services.

The postholder will provide operational management support to the Administration Team to ensure all SMART Services run efficiently and effectively in the delivery of services to patients. They will take lead responsibility for overseeing facilities management at the SMART Centre including building maintenance, IT systems, equipment and telecoms to ensure the SMART building is maintained to a level consistent with Health and Safety, Infection Control and Fire Policies.

The postholder will be required to participate and lead on relevant projects and when necessary oversee the internal planning and implementation for SMART Services.
