NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term position of 18 months
The shift pattern for this position is Monday - Friday.
Maximising Independence is an exciting new programme of work in Inverclyde HSCP, which aims to accelerate the shift to delivering more proactive and preventative support and care.
The Post:
On a day-to-day basis, the successful candidate will support the Maximising Independence Project Manager across a range of varied improvement initiatives, by organising, managing and supporting project delivery and test sites, maintaining project plans, and reporting on agreed objectives, ensuring that the work programme is on track.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be required to develop and maintain effective relationships and networks with colleagues across the HSCP, Council and partner organisations, facilitating meaningful engagement with a range of services and service users.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work flexibly, and show commitment to the role. They will have excellent planning and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate the use of project management techniques and processes. Experience in working with data, including basic analysis and reporting, is required.
It is essential that applicants are educated to degree level or equivalent in business administration, project management, quality improvement or similar discipline or can demonstrate a similar level of knowledge gained through a significant period of work in an NHS organisation or similar.
Location and Working Pattern:
The post is based at Inverclyde Centre for Independence Living in Greenock.
Work pattern- Monday to Friday 9-5.
The post requires travel to different sites across Inverclyde HSCP.
