The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday 0800 - 1600

The Ward Housekeeper will work in a distinct role to support the delivery of clinical care by assisting in the maintenance of a clean, safe and attractive environment, conducive to patient care. Co-ordinating a range of ward services, including cleaning, catering, supplies, linen services, and general maintenance issues reporting and rectification, the post holder will work closely with the Division's support service departments and Ward Manager and staff to ensure that national and local standards are met.

Essential requirements:​​​​​​​

  • Basic literacy and numeracy​​​​​​​
  • Computer skills, ability to use on line ordering, track orders and maintain stock records and delivery information
  • High standard telephone and communication skills, ability to communicate with offsite suppliers
  • Willingness to expand knowledge and skills in post
