NHS Lothian REACT Care Team

Exciting opportunities are available to join the REACT Care Team within West Lothian.  We have multiple Band 3 positions available for Health Care Support Workers and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled teams.

What We Can Offer You

As part of a multidisciplinary team, we will provide you with the opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge and exposure to various staff groups; D2A, Rehab, CRABIS, H@H and SPoC.

Roles include but are not limited to:

  • Personal care
  • Medication prompts
  • Meal preparation
  • Supervising exercise programmes
  • Encourage independence with all tasks
  • Catheter care
  • Moving and Handling

The successful candidate must be comfortable working both on their own and as part of a team.  Excellent communication skills are key as there is a requirement to liaise with other health care professionals and family members.

Good moving and handling skills are essential as is knowledge of equipment and how to use.

Full training is provided with continued learning ongoing.

We offer a 7-day service to our service users, from 08:30am – 10:00pm and shifts are worked on a rota basis.

This is a community-based role and therefore a full UK drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Salary

  • Band 3 Range £25,468 – £27,486 (pro rata) per annum
