We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Radiographer to join our friendly, hard working multidisciplinary team in providing a fully comprehensive Breast Service within NHS Grampian.

 

The QA Lead will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and recording of all QA tests/policies and protocols and reporting to the National QA Radiographer.

 

To deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer as necessary.

 

Responsible for Breast Screening PACS Management.

 

There is 17.7wte staffing level. Covering both Symptomatic and Breast Screening Services with approx 37,000 examinations per year. The service has 4 x-ray rooms and 2 mobile units.

 

The Breast Screening Service is located within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Mobile units serve more outlying areas with the Grampian Region including Orkney and Shetland. The Symptomatic Department is based within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Radiology Department.

 

 A Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography is essential with extensive post qualification experience.

 

A current clean driving licence is essential.

 

It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is female due to the intimate nature of the work.
