Advanced Practitioner in Continence and Pelvic Floor Health
B7 Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner
12 hours per week
Permanent
Midlothian
- To provide an expert clinical service in the specialty of Continence and Pelvic Floor rehabilitation including, analysis, investigations, diagnosis, treatment, decisions regarding surgical or non-surgical management and discharge of patients, in a Primary Care setting.
- To manage a complex case load in the specialty, using extended skills to aid diagnosis, and management and determine the need for further investigations e.g. Urinalysis
- To provide expert advice on the clinical management of adults with pelvic health and continence conditions to physiotherapists, other healthcare staff, patients and carers to enable mutual decision making.
- To develop the profile and role of the advanced continence and pelvic health physiotherapy practitioner in Midlothian
- Participate in Clinical Governance/Effectiveness activities associated with the Physiotherapy Service and wider continence/pelvic rehabilitation service across Lothian
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
