CLINICAL PHARMACY SERVICES

BANK PHARMACIST BAND 7

Salary Scale :  £46,244-  £53,789 per annum pro rata

The NHS Tayside Pharmacy Service provides opportunities for innovative working across healthcare boundaries. New models of working to deliver the future described in Prescription for Excellence are being developed. NHS Tayside is recognised as an organisation with a focus on safety and improvement. The organisational aim is to be “the best at getting better” and you will play an active part in this.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacists to join our team as a Bank Pharmacist.  Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week, but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit your availability and the needs of the service. We can also offer remote working opportunities where this suits you.

You would still be an integral member of the pharmacy and multidisciplinary team. You will be supported by advanced specialist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to deliver patient centred, safe and effective clinical pharmacy service to patients across a variety of settings.

This post offers an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to either develop their clinical skills or to consolidate and further develop their existing knowledge and experience working in Hospital Clinical Pharmacy Services.

Applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have proven post-qualification experience.

Informal enquiries: Sarah Lightfoot, Head of Clinical Pharmacy sarah.lightfoot@nhs.scot  or Karen Lowden, Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for AFT and Medicine for the Elderly Karen.lowdon@nhs.scot
