This is a fixed term position of 6 months.

The shift pattern for this post is 11.5hrs over 7 days.​​​​​​​

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Older Peoples Orthogeriatric ward for a highly motivated band 6 Charge Nurse to provide leadership and ensure that high quality, safe, effective person centred care is delivered. On a daily basis you will be required to support the SCN lead the wider nursing team supporting effective care planning and safe discharge. You will ensure that appropriate learning opportunities are available for all staff, encouraging best practice to deliver high quality patient care at all times in line with NHS GGC Care assurance standards. 

Evidence of personal development will be expected with a willingness to contribute to education and audit at ward level. A good understanding and knowledge of policy, procedure and local/national priorities will be required to lead and support the team. You will possess suitable experience at band 5 staff nurse level within a relevant setting and have the resilience to support and develop the wider nursing team.
