The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30.
Due to a recent vacancy an exciting opportunity has arisen to specialise in paediatric orthotics within the experienced and motivated paediatric orthotic service team. The Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow provides excellent clinical facilities and a child friendly environment with adjacent maternity and adult services. On site specialist Paediatric Rehabilitation Technicians and technical facilities provide manufacturing and alteration support for the Paediatric Orthotist, giving optimum working environment for excellent delivery of clinical care. The service covers local, regional, national and specialist services. Essential requirements for the role include a degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or equivalent qualification, HCPC registration, experience in paediatrics, proficient rectification ability, an ability to manage your own caseload, problem solving, innovation, educating, ongoing learning, compassion and family relational skills.
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable experience includes upper limb, CP, spinal and KAFO/HKAFO/RGO management. This is a permanent post with full time hours; these hours will be worked Monday to Friday from 0830-1630, or as a 0730-1730 compressed working pattern over 4 days. This post will have a closing date of the 1st of September 2023. Interviews will be conducted on Wednesday 27th September 2023 at the Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow.
