About the Organisation:

The Post:
The Contract and Vendor Management Team (CVMT) provides expert advice and services across the National Health Service in Scotland. The CVMT is the principal point of contact between NHS Scotland and the Suppliers of a range of NHS National IT Service contracts, which embrace business and clinical systems at both national and local levels.
A permanent opportunity has arisen for a senior consultant within the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) business area of CVMT.
The PACS Programme is a large-scale change programme which sets out to deliver digital technologies to support diagnostic services across Scotland as well as comprehensive sharing of the radiological image and its report.
The Candidate:
This role is central to the delivery success of the PACS Reprovisioning Programme and the post holder must be capable of applying technical knowledge and skills as appropriate to ensure that the PACS Reprovisioning Programme and associated Projects in PACS and RIS, are delivered successfully.
The post holder will work closely with the PACS Reprovisioning Team, PACS and RIS Stakeholders, clinical representatives, eHealth representatives, local radiology and breast screening departments and a range of suppliers. The post holder must be capable of applying leadership skills as appropriate to ensure the service is delivered successfully. Additionally, applicants should have an understanding of the radiology landscape across Scotland and knowledge of the technical infrastructure deployed to support this.

Location and Working Pattern:
This post can be based in either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
A hybrid working model is currently in place.
The work pattern is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
