As part of NHS Tayside’s Public Health Directorate, the Central Vaccination Service plays a key role in health protection and health promotion. In collaboration with other services and through a multidisciplinary approach, the Central Vaccination Service provides expert advice and delivery of all vaccines provided by the NHS. The team deliver a number of vaccination programmes to all ages across Tayside, including in community-based clinics, outreach & rural clinics, as well as in care homes and home visits. With our commitment to person centred care and tackling health inequalities, we have strong links with other community outreach teams and work in collaboration through our inclusivity team. 


You will be supported in your role with:


  • A tailored induction and training programme for your individual needs
  • An opportunity to join a progressive, supportive vaccination team.
  • Valuable experience and insight into the newly formed Central Vaccination Service
  • IT and vaccination tool management skills


You are required to hold a current UK NMC nursing registration with previous experience. Previous experience of vaccination is advantageous but not essential as full induction will be given. You will be expected to work effectively both as an individual and within the wider team. The ability to travel across Tayside might be required to support the needs of the service. ​​​​​​​
