NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is the largest and most complex healthcare service in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK. A single Health Information & Technology (HI&T) organisation exists following a re-structure. One of its key objectives is to create an Information and IT infrastructure capable of integrating Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

Ref – Architecture & Cloud Services – Infrastructure Specialist
£ 37,831 – £ 46,100 Band AFC6, 37.5 hrs, Smithhill Street, Paisley.
The Architecture team is part of the eHealth Strategy & Programmes group and works closely with the other eHealth services.
The key objectives of the architecture group are:
- To assess, design, develop and deliver the IT infrastructure for new-builds, new business/clinical services and new IT systems/applications.
- To improve the cost effectiveness and resilience of the underpinning IT infrastructure.
- To work closely with colleagues to scope, prioritise and develop IT services.
- To take a lead role in managing eHealth investment projects.
- Across all areas to consider a range of approaches, from innovative use of new technologies to rationalisation of existing systems.
- And be a source of expertise / consultancy on IT Infrastructure for eHealth and other services.
This role will involve working with services and programme teams to scope, develop, deliver, and support eHealth programmes and projects.
You will be experienced in general IT, desktop support. Microsoft Office skills. Experience of data migration to SharePoint and experience of working with large, complex spreadsheets and large volumes of information would be advantageous.
