An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Highland Children’s Community Nursing Team for a band 5 Paediatric Nurse. We are seeking a suitably experienced registered paediatric nurse who is enthusiastic, motivated and committed to working with children and young people with acute/chronic/complex health needs in the community. 

You must possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The work will involve assisting in the delivery and facilitation of high quality nursing care to children with acute/ chronic/complex health needs in the community and teaching children/parents/carers the skills necessary to enable to care for their child at home. You must be able to plan & prioritise your workload  & be able to liaise between the child/family & the senior staff within the team. 
 
You will be supported by the CCN team through line management and supervision, and you must be willing to undertake development and educational activities as required. 

The postholder needs the ability to work flexibly which might include working outside normal working hours according to the changing needs of the service but currently the CCN team provide a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm service. A driving licence is essential for this post.

This is a full-time, permanent role, however, secondment/job share will be considered.
