An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Mental Health Triage Nurse (RMNs) based within primary care settings across Fife
The Mental Health Triage Nurse Service (MHTNS) works alongside primary care colleagues by offering support to GP’s for patients presenting with mental health issues. As a Mental Health Triage Nurse (MHTN) you will be triaging and supporting patients, calling on your specialist clinical knowledge and clinical decision making skills to appropriately support and refer on where required. As a specialist role the MHTN is required to work in partnership with primary care services and secondary care mental health services as well as identify appropriate sign posting to alternative services.
Applications for this post are invited from experienced RMN’s, able to demonstrate enhanced skills, knowledge and experience of working with adults across the age span presenting with a range of mental health problems. As an enthusiastic mental health nurse you will join this innovative developing service designed to meet the mental health needs of the population, the MHTN’s will work within a mental health team committed to multi-disciplinary/ partnership working with strong links to secondary care and other community services. The successful applicant will have experience of team working, problem solving, flexibility, high-level communication skills, continuing personal development and change management. The post holder will have day to day responsibility for managing their workload and the assessment, care planning, evaluation of patients presenting with a variety of mental health problems in primary care settings. A commitment to partnership working with a range of stakeholders is also essential.
