The shift pattern for this post is, flexible, 9 a.m. -5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced LD Nurse to take up a Band 6 Charge Nurse post within the Community Learning Disability Team in Inverclyde. This is a full-time post within an integrated team of health and social work professionals. The successful candidate will have the right values and skills to promote the health and wellbeing of adults with Learning Disabilities and a number of additional complex needs including epilepsy, physical disability, positive behaviour support needs and Autism. The post holder will offer clinical supervision and support to band 5 nurses and a Health Care Support Worker . There will be an expectation that the postholder will offer support and supervision to student nurses and other trainees. The Band 6 Nurse will be an autonomous practitioner and a caseload holder. The ability to plan and organise group work for patients, carers and other health staff is part of the role.
A qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, Epilepsy, Autism or another subject relevant to the needs of people with learning disability is desirable but not essential.
