​​​​​​​There is a full time post 37.5hrs and a part time post  18.75hrs available with this vacancy.

You will support and deliver healthcare provision to detained persons within police custody suites in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHS GG&C), conducting clinical assessments, identifying and implementing appropriate interventions, including administration of medicines, providing advice and guidance to custody staff regarding the care of the detainee whilst in police custody, maintaining comprehensive and accurate record keeping to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of detained persons held within police custody. It is essential that you are an Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with NMC Registration.  You should be educated to Degree level and have experience within one of the following areas: custodial settings, minor injuries unit, Accident and Emergency, drug and alcohol services, mental health or a treatment room and you should be able to demonstrate your ability to manage a caseload in one of the areas above. You should have significant post registration experience of using specialist assessment skills and techniques to determine healthcare needs while having the ability to communicate with other professionals and disciplines. This post requires you to have a driving licence and be a car owner and you should be able to evidence your continuing professional development. This is a permanent post with full-time hours. The rota includes long day and night shifts and, due to the demands of the service, predominantly involves weekend working. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland’s PVG Scheme and, due to the location of this post, successful
completion of the Police Scotland vetting process.
