This is an exciting opportunity to work within our new higher level supported accomodation project in Melrose in the beautiful Scottish Borders. The project will provide intensive support and treatment for adults with a diagnosis of a severe and enduring mental illness working closely with allied health professionals.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Nurse to join our project team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the change process of this new innovative project and to provide person centred, recovery focussed care for a patient group who have complex needs and at times challenging behaviours. This project provides intensive community rehabilitation providing early discharge from hospital or as an alternative to admission.
The candidate will be expected to provide clinical expertise as well as leadership and support for third sector partners. The post whilst highly autonomous will be allied with the Community Rehabilitation Service which is a high functioning, well connected team, offering excellent support and professional development. There will be an expectation to work flexibly across the service within the supported accomodation and also the community.
The successful candidate will join the existing multidisciplinary service working closely with people with lived experience, colleagues in the NHS, Scottish Borders Council and partner organisations.
