This is a Fixed term post for 12 months.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Gastroenterology Clinical Nurse Specialist team working specifically within the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) team on a one year secondment.  The team are responsible for the care and support of infants, children and young people with IBD

The post holder will work within the Pediatric IBD clinical and research team providing specialist knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the management of IBD patients. The research component of this post will include recruitment, obtaining consent and retention of patients in Gastroenterology studies.

The postholder will work as part of the existing Gastroenterology Nursing service and wider multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive support, coordinating care and advice to children and families who live with IBD.

It is essential that you are currently a Registered Children’s Nurse with the NMC and have experience in the care of children and young people with IBD is desirable.
