The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday, 0830am - 5pm  1 hr lunch

2x Dental Receptionists (Band 2) -  Full Time – 37.5 hours

Base Location – Public Dental Service - Emergency Dental Treatment Centre, Level 1 within Glasgow Dental Hospital. 

Duties of this post will involve the administrative support of the Primary Care Public Dental Service predominantly although not restricted to unregistered/unscheduled patient care.

The successful candidate will require to liaise with the Public Dental Service Team, Multiple Primary and Secondary Care services, Oral Health Improvement Teams and General Dental Practitioners throughout Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board.

This extremely busy department requires the post holder to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills to support the work of all clinics and ongoing tasks associated.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all data returns, and managing referrals therefore knowledge of Microsoft programmes is essential.

Desirable -

Working knowledge of:

  • Clinical + R4 Dental Patient Management System - including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Electronic Dental Claims
  • Statement of Dental Remuneration (SDR)
  • Trakcare
  • Clinical Portal 

Dental & NHS/Administration experience.
