Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, forward-thinking pharmacist to lead the Cancer Medicines Outcomes Programme (CMOP) for 12 months. CMOP is an established national research project being undertaken in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde to explore the capability of existing NHS data systems to determine the clinical effectiveness of cancer medicines in the real-life setting. CMOP has recently received extended funding for 1 year and this position provides a chance to lead the programme and manage the CMOP Team to deliver on the programme’ objectives.
This post requires excellent clinical knowledge, communication and negotiation skills with experience of influencing senior members of the multidisciplinary team in delivering patient care and experience of working within acute care, sometimes at a senior level. You are required to have a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and will be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council with a minimum of five years post registration experience. A Postgraduate diploma or equivalent qualification / experience is also required.
