The Fife Area-Wide Psychology Service is a large (140 + wte) well-provided service including adult, child, LD and clinical health specialties, with extensive involvement in training, research and service development. There are close links with D. Clin.Psych and MSc courses and CPD and research initiatives are well supported. 

The Child and Family speciality has over 30 staff; clinical psychologists, CAAPs and Assistant psychologists, as well as trainee clinical psychologists and CAAPs. The specialty provides input to Early Intervention/Primary Care, CAMHS, Paediatrics and Neurodevelopmental Services.

We have 1.0 WTE permanent post available for a suitably qualified psychology graduate to work in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. This post is to support the core CAMHS teams across East and West Fife. Clinical Psychology staff provide input to the CAMHS multi-disciplinary teams and you will benefit from working with a range of professions, but will receive supervision and line management through the Child and Family Psychology Service. You will undertake clinically supervised work with patients on a one to one and group basis as required, including cognitive assessments.  Under supervision, you will communicate the results of these assessments. You will undertake service evaluation and audit, along with research activities, as required. You will be able to join the Psychology service assistants group enabling you to access CPD and liaise with Assistants working in other services.
