JOB TITLE: Medical Secretary

GRADE: Band 3

HOURS: 37.5

CONTRACT: Permanent

LOCATION: SW Recovery Hub, Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Medical Secretary to work within the Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership Substance Misuse Service (South West Locality).

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurses, OT’s Pharmacists and Support Workers, you will be integral to the daily smooth running of administrative services within our South West Recovery Hub.

Our Medical Secretary should be proactive, approachable and a multi-tasker with strong communication and IT skills.  Experience of working within a health or community centre environment would be useful but is not essential.  A commitment to the NHS Lothian Values and quality provision in healthcare is essential for this post.

The post is full time 37.5 hours, working 9am until 5pm from Monday to Friday each week and is based at the Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre, which is near the ODEON Cinema and local shopping mall which means that parking is usually available, and currently free.  We are also a short walking distance from the local train station and there are good bus links also.

For further information or an informal discussion about this post please contact Jacqueline Priestley in the first instance on 0131 453 9448.
