Salary Range: £60, 514 – £81,673 per annum

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is the largest NHS Board in Scotland with our 41,000 staff providing services to a population of 1.2 million people resident in our area. We also provide specialist services on behalf of the West of Scotland for the population of 2.7 million people and provide a number of national services which are accessed from across Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior communications professional to join our award-winning Communications and Engagement Directorate. NHSGGC is the largest single health authority in the UK and as such you can expect to manage a wide range of complex communications issues.
Reporting to the Director, you will provide, leadership and specialist expertise in the planning, management and provision of system-wide internal and external communications, including operational responsibility for staff communications, public relations, social media, website development, marketing and public affairs.
This is a senior post which interfaces at a corporate management/Board level across the organisation and beyond in the influencing and development of regional and national strategy.
You will be a confident and motivated individual educated to Degree level or have equivalent experience, with extensive experience in a communications role. Knowledge of the NHS or the public sector would be an advantage.
