We currently have 3 x Full-time (37.5hpw) Band 3 HCSW positions available within General Outpatients. The hours would be worked over 4 days ( 3 x 0800-1800hrs + 1 x 0800-1730hrs)

This role would involve Set up of Clinic room/Welcome & Chaperoning of Patients/ Obtaining Patient Height, Weight, BP, Sats & urinalysis as required. Assisting Consultants and Nursing Staff during Complex Consultations and assisting Patients as required. Set up and Care of Equipment, Cleaning and Restock of Rooms and Delivering good quality Care to our Patients. The Clinics are fast moving with approx 220pts attending each day. Often 16 clinics running in the morning, and quickly restocked to run a further 16 in the afternoon. We look after patients attending all Surgical, Medical & Orthopaedic Outpatient appointments. Patients often attend via Patient Transport, often requiring assistance with care needs and mobility issues.

Clinical skills would include Venepuncture, Simple Wound Dressing, Knowledge of Colorectal Procedures and Equipment etc. Knowledge of Infection Control and Health & Safety policies within NHSH is advantageous. Also knowledge and understanding of Turas, covering all aspects of Mandatory & Statutory Training.
