A full time position has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated individual to undertake the role of Health Records Assistant in various wards, Acute Services Directorate. You will have relevant experience in a clerical/reception setting. You will have excellent interpersonal and organisation skills together with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software. You will be computer confident and be able to work accurately under pressure whilst having attention to detail and be able to work co-operatively within a team with a mature outlook.
Duties of the post will include:
- Dealing with telephone calls from Nursing Staff and GPs, together with patients and relatives which can be challenging, requiring empathy and tact.
- Responsible for accurate filing of patients notes when discharged from the ward.
- Extensive physical activity in dealing with movement and transferring of case notes.
- The postholder must be self motivated in prioritising their day to day duties in a very fast paced environment.
