Band 4 Pharmacy Senior Purchasing Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Senior Purchasing Officer to work within the Board’s automated Pharmacy Distribution Centre ().
Duties include processing and purchasing all requests for medicines including Homecare Services for all relevant supplies and services for NHSGG&C
The post holder would be responsible for supervision of purchasing officers/ Pharmacy Support workers.
The successful candidate will have excellent computer, organisational and communication skills along with a minimum of two years experience in the field of purchasing and supplies and/or use of IT systems within a large multi-discipline environment. Experience working in a Pharmacy or similar environment and relevant SVQ qualifications is desirable.
Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
A general education, basic numeric and literacy skills demonstrated by Standard Grade qualifications or equivalent, as well as good communication and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
In addition, the post-holder will have the opportunity to contribute and support implementation of any new processes within PDC. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who is able works with attention to detail.
This is a full time post, 37.5 hours per week working from 9am until 5pm and will be worked over 5 days and includes participation in the public holiday rotas.
