To ensure efficient, accurate and up to date provision and analysis of data in order that the National Services Division (NSD), General & Vascular Surgical Services and Clinicians have meaningful information for patient care, clinical governance and service development.
To play a key role in exploiting data collected by the General & Vascular Surgical Specialties with a specific focus on the Scottish National Thoraco-Abdominal Aortic aneurysm (TAAA) service within Vascular Surgery & the National Hilar Cholangiocarcinoma Resectional and Complex Biliary Drainage Service within General Surgery. To enhance the provision, analysis and interpretation of data, supporting and influencing the development of relevant datasets to appropriately reflect the information needs.
Responsible for liaising and communicating regularly with National Services Division (NSD), healthcare professionals that contribute to the Multi-disciplinary teams within General & Vascular Surgery and referring services based throughout the UK.,) To provide clinical validation, regular audits and facilitate projects which are based within General & Vascular Surgery specialties.
Providing support to the System Support Analyst – Team Lead in their role.
