A permanent opportunity has arisen for the Property Department, Estates Division to recruit an  Estate Officer to be operational within Tayside, based at Perth Royal Infirmary, Royal Victoria Hospital, Stracathro Hospital to assist the Assistant Estates Manager(s) to meet the operational and (where required) strategic objectives within NHS Tayside.

Consideration will be given to candidates who have suitable experience and the necessary qualifications for direct entry into appropriate degree level further education.

NOTE: The renumeration for any candidate appointed under a training provision will be band 5 (£30,229 - £37,664).

Ensure compliance of service within agreed Statutory, Mandatory, Safety, Environmental, Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures.

Design, Project Manage and implement all delegated projects.

Deputise for the Assistant Estates Manager or Maintenance Manager as required.

The post holder may be required to work at any NHS Tayside Property as necessary

The main duties will be to install, repair and maintain the healthcare built environment and building services plant and equipment within all properties of the organisation in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical systems within the organisation.

Participation in an on call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
