An exciting oppurtunity has arisen for a B5 Registered Nurses to join the Surgical Assemment Unit Team at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The Surgical Assessment Unit is a 6 trolley bedded unit which receives a variety of patients from GP referrals and the Emergency Department with acute surgical presentations and some specilaist urological conditions.
The Unit also runs daily hot clinics and return clinics for those patients appropriate to attend ambulatory care.
This is a great development oppurtunity for an existing experienced surgical nurse to learn new skills working alongside the Surgical Nurse Practitioners or for a registered nurse looking for a new challenge and has a genuine interest in acute surgical nursing.There will be further experience offered within the adjoining Surgical Receiving ward following the flow of the patients admitted for further treatment.
You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to this defined group of patients. You will competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.
It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and it would be advantageous but not essential if you have relevant post registration experience within a surgical environment.

The shift pattern for this post is 8am-8pm Mon-Fri
