We are looking to attract a fulltime nurse prepared to work autonomously as a part of the wider Chronic Pain Team in GG&C.
Excellent advanced clinical skills, proven interest in Chronic Pain Management and the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities to fulfil a band 7 clinical nurse specialist role is essential.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist you must have an advanced level of knowledge and sound clinical background in Pain Management. The post holder will be joining a multi-disciplinary team. The post will include clinical management of defined case load as well as being responsible for delivery and development of educational programmes to patients and staff. In turn empowering patients to take responsibility for their health and well-being, thereby ensuring patients have the relevant information to participate in decisions about their care.
You must be flexible, committed and sensitive to the needs of the patients. You should be able to communicate with patients in ways that empower them to make informed choices about their health, and clinical management offering specialist support where necessary.
You must have a passion for working within this field and desire to develop and train junior members of the Nursing Team.
It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current registration and hold a non-medical prescriber qualification.
You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience at Band 6 in Pain Management.
You should be willing to undertake MSc in Pain Management or evidence of equivalent experience demonstrated by appropriate highly specialist knowledge and expertise in pain management.
The hours are worked 9.00am to 5.00pm
