An opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Eating Disorder Practitioner to join the team for a period of 9 months.
Within the eating disorder service, care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team in collaboration with partner agencies. It is based on the best available evidence for practice both logical and psychological, and is planned and delivered in a manner which promotes personal choice. The clinical team works collaboratively with service users, carers and their representatives to ensure that care needs are identified and met. The service offers a group programme in addition to individual intervention. It also supports four eating disorder beds in Armadale Ward at for inpatient treatment of eating disorders as required.
The service provides continuity across inpatient and community-based secondary NHS mental health care that is based on the principles of equality, dignity and respect and which takes into account spiritual and cultural diversity.
It is essential you are a Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration and have working knowledge and demonstrable evidence of the NMC Code. You will be educated to degree level and be able to demonstrate the ability to work professionally within a wider team.
Previous experience of working with individuals who have an eating disorder would be desirable.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
