HR Manager (Ref: 164123)
Fixed term/secondment to 31st March 2025
Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
£46,244 - £53,789 p.a. (AfC Band 7)

As an HR Manager in the People & Workplace team you will provide line management to a team of HR professionals delivering a professional, proactive and comprehensive range of HR services across the organisation. You will support the team to provide advice and guidance on a full range of HR matters including recruitment, employee relations, policy and procedures, organisational change and will be skilled in the art of managing several priorities and contributing to several projects at once.
The role requires extensive knowledge of employment legislation, clear thinking and the ability to work on your own initiative. Excellent interpersonal skills, supported by good oral, written and presentation skills are also essential, as is knowledge of the Once for Scotland suite of workforce policies.
You will ideally be CIPD qualified. Excellent IT skills including experience of HR systems including eESS and JobTrain is essential. Candidates must have previous/current experience within the NHS. This role may be offered on a secondment basis from within the NHS and would suit a candidate with some experience of working in a similar role, who would like to broaden their experience working in an NHS National Board.
