An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Innovation and Improvement Advisor to support the delivery of National Urgent and Unscheduled Care Programme and lead improvement projects across health and social care in Forth Valley. The Programme will aim to improve staff, patient, and carer experience of Urgent and Unscheduled Care by working with staff to build capacity and capability in improvement methodologies to sustainably improve performance, patient safety, and flow through the unscheduled care pathway. NHS Forth Valley, working with our H&SCPs and West of Scotland Regional Planning, is also a Test Bed for health and care innovation.
This is a high-profile area of work that requires passionate and experienced individuals confident to lead and support improvement in a complex system. We are looking for people educated to degree level or equivalent training in improvement science or have equivalent extensive practical experience in improvement science and its practical application in a range of health and social care settings. They will be able to demonstrable understanding of unscheduled care.
We are looking for creative thinking and innovation skills, particularly in multi-agency and whole systems and ability to challenge the norm and test assumptions of others to develop new ideas and ways of working. Ideally you should have experience of working in health and care and evidence of considerable experience in improvement science and service redesign in large complex organisations. You will be able to evidence experience in project planning, management, and reporting. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to evidence experience in project planning, management, and reporting. The ability to work within a highly political agenda, manage to deadlines and respond to changing priorities is essential.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.
You will be expected to work at locations across NHS Forth Valley. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
