Day Medicine is a busy and expanding Ambulatory Care day unit within FVRH that operates Monday to Friday 8am -6pm and weekends 8am-2pm, caring for patients from a wide variety of specialities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a kind, caring, hard working, enthusiastic and motivated band 5 registered (first level) Staff Nurse to join our team.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication and organisational skills, have a caring and professional manner, be able to deliver a high standard of evidence based/person centred care, be flexible and able to adapt to an unpredictable working environment on a daily basis, work well within a team including with members of the multi-disciplinary team and have an appetite for self development.
Skills including venepuncture, cannulation & IV therapy are desirable but not essential.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk
