Senior Clinical Photographer (Band 6)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Photographer to join our team within the Medical Photography Service at NHS Lothian.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive clinical photography, video and ophthalmic imaging service based over multiple hospital sites within the city of Edinburgh and also Livingston, West Lothian. The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week (5 days over 7). The successful candidate will be based at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion but will be required to help provide cross-cover support to any NHS Lothian base site.

The person in post will have shared responsibility for helping to lead and develop a specialised section of the Medical Photography Service, with particular focus on ophthalmology provision. You will be expected to practice as both an ophthalmic imager and clinical photographer in this role. You will also contribute to the development of staff and services (through training, quality control and performance review).

You will have a recognized degree-level clinical photography qualification and be on the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) register.
