An opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to join our team within the Medical Photography Service at NHS Lothian.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive clinical photography, video and ophthalmic imaging service based over multiple hospital sites within the city of Edinburgh and also Livingston, West Lothian. The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week (5 days over 7). The successful candidate will be based at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh. You will assist in the provision of high quality diagnostic imaging for Ophthalmology Services across the organisation and be required to work at more than one hospital site on a rota basis.

Applicants should possess an HND in Photography. Consideration will also be given to applicants who have an equivalent level media / imaging qualification and proven relevant experience working within the healthcare setting. Applicants should be experienced in OCT image capture and Fundus Photography, as well as being familiar with digital imaging workflows and using image management systems.

This is a fixed term contract until 31.03.24
